Should I capture a URL or upload an image?
If you have both the image and the URL of your design, then you can try uploading the image since it is a little faster than capturing a URL.
If you don’t have the screenshot of the website that you want to analyze and don’t want to bother, then you can capture the URL.
If for some reason, our tool can’t capture the URL or the captured design seems distorted, you can still take a screenshot of that website by yourself and upload an image to our web app.
Some websites have protections that do not allow our tool to capture them. In other cases, there can be certain lines in the code of the website that does not allow our web app to capture that page correctly and distorts the captured design. That can happen if the page has a parallax effect, some interactive elements, lots of moving animations, or some other kinds of advanced effects or elements.
Also, you can use our Chrome extension. Using it, you can choose to analyze the current screen or the whole page. You can even turn off cookie banners before analyzing the page. If our web app fails to capture the page for some reason, our Chrome extension usually will work.
