Meet a Digital Product Designer Amr Younes based in Germany and learn how one day he decided to find his passion and follow it.
Why have you decided to step into design field?
I was studying business and one day I woke up and decided to find my passion and follow it. But I didn’t know where to start. Then I found out a brilliant trial and error method which was new to me at that moment.
With this method I have discovered all the fields I was interested in such as networking engineering, software development e.g. HTML, CSS, Sales, Marketing and finally design. Here’s the kick-off of my career.
I was so excited about the materials I was studying and determine to learn go far with it. Then I dug deeper into the design and found the best suits me is problem-solving designs which are digital intractable designs. And here I end up as a Digital Product Designer.
How do you measure the success of your design?
By measuring user satisfaction. That happens in two ways – quantitative and qualitative. For example, with a noticeable increase in the conversion rate after launching the new solution and observing user feedback on the new designs.
What is your biggest challenge in design creation process?
I would say, a “What? Why? Who?” phase aka discovery phase, when you don’t have a clear goal about what do you what to achieve.
What principles do you follow when creating attention grabbing design?
Content, Content, Content then everything comes after.
