Meet a UI designer and illustrator Zuairia Zaman who believes that “a learner never gets old” and read about her first steps in learning design.
Why have you decided to step into design field?
I have always had an interest in art and the field that keeps you busy with learning and evolving along with creating something new. Although, jumping into design profession was all on a sudden chance but day by day my interest grew as I found this field to be evolving continuously.
Also, it’s a field where you can work by your own, no boundaries, no limits. So I decided to go further and take it as a profession.
What inspires you and why?
New works and techniques inspires me most as it encourages me to learn.
How do you measure the success of your design?
Is it something that last? Is it easy to use? Is it easier to understand? Does it satisfy the client, developers and users needs?
What is your biggest challenge in design creation process?
Starting any project from ideation through visualisation to the final result while fulfilling the client’s requirements and at the same time be satisfied with my work.
What principles do you follow when creating attention grabbing design?
Unique concept, style, nice typography, attention grabbing colour, contrast and cleanliness. Another important aspect is that how well balanced and meaningful the design is.
Good design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose.
