Meet a Graphic Designer & Art Director Mihaela Popa based in Germany, who creates designs that are visually engaging, functional, time & product relevant.
Why have you decided to step into design field?
I’ve always been drawn to visual arts and going into design was a natural progression from photography which I was interested at the time.
What inspires you and why?
I am inspired by everything really, from books to daily random happenings, nature, philosophy, mystery of life, people. I like to explore uncharted territories, to question things, to imagine.
How do you measure the success of your design?
I test it with target users to get feedback and a deeper insight into their needs and desires.
What is your biggest challenge in design creation process?
The biggest challenge is choosing the right concept that resonates with the task at hand, selecting one out of many ideas, colours, styles.
What principles do you follow when creating attention grabbing design?
I use grids to organise information, to create visual hierarchies that are meant to stress the prominence of content over other types of content. And I also rely on contextual optical adjustment and intuition.
